Sharing is energy

Sharing is energy

February 2023.

I’m meeting with a friend at the bar next door.

Nicholas and I have developed somewhat of a passion for entrepreneurship over the years. We like to meet and talk ideas. At the time, these talks revolved mostly around Nicholas’ innovative start-up, Symp. Symp is on a mission to help people better understand and rebalance their gut health through precise microbiome testing. He’s now pitching to win the Belgium Startup Awards. Give him some support if you can !

Back to our story.

We’re meeting again, but this time it was different. I came with a surprise in my pocket. The very first prototypes of Tof. I had made quick designs, printed them and glued them on kraft pouch samples I’d ordered for free. Inside were the first prototypes of our “Sweet & Spicy”, “Teriyaki” and “Original” flavors. At the time “Tof” was named “Jacky”, which I liked, but was later advised to change because of the ressemblance to a well-known beef jerky brand.

While sharing a beer, I explained what I had been up to in the last few weeks.

Nicholas tasted the prototypes. I remember the excitement. We discussed how the recipes could be improved, which ingredients were used, which could be used. It seemed like everything was possible, but also that there was a long way ahead.

Sharing still gives me some of that positive energy, and it also never fails to provide valuable feedback.

Sharing more tomorrow.
